Part 1 - FUN-damentals of Therapeutic Exercise: Addressing the Impairments in Your Knowledge

This two-part series will address the foundations of Therapeutic Exercise primarily focusing on the Musculoskeletal System. Part One will address tissue injury and healing, early phases of rehabilitation, and include an in-depth look at restoring mobility. Part Two will continue with the progression of therapeutic exercise, in tandem with healing, covering the topics of posture and positioning, restoring strength and neuromuscular control. Collectively, the sessions will review the basic principles of therapeutic exercise while covering a multitude of terms, principles and even the application of addressing common impairments.

Instructor: Kelly D Kinsey MS, PT, ATC
Kelly has been a practicing physical therapist with an interest in orthopedics and sports medicine for nearly 30 years. She has been a clinician and educator at the Cleveland Clinic for 23 years; this includes being part of their Orthopedic Residency Faculty. Kelly also teaches Therapeutic Exercise for the athletic training program at Baldwin Wallace University and has been an instructor for Scorebuilders for over 15 years.
